I was wondering if the activities (automatically) uploaded from Zwift to Garmin Connect contribute to Garmin’s Training Effect, Load and Training Status?
I have an Edge 1050 for outdoor riding but I don’t plan on using ERG mode, FYI.
I also have a Garmin HRM-Dual and MacBook Pro 2021 M1. Not sure if this is relevant, though.
Thanks for your answer but I wasn’t talking about Strava. I was specifically refering to Garmin Connect, they have their own Training Effect, Load and Training Status.
Without having to use my bike computer? So weird because I see lots of people having to double record; one on Zwift and one on their bike computer to get that data…
Because those values are not part of the data being transferred. The fit file is just your power, cadence, speed, heart rate, and GPS data. All the other stuff is being calculated from that information at the receiving end.
The double recording is something totally different… That’s usually for data verification in the more serious virtual race events.
Most data transfer. But I don’t get Garmin’s stamina data unless I record directly on Garmin. Also, my understanding is that results don’t count for Garmin challenges/badges unless recorded directly on Garmin, so I think some people double record to get credit for those.
Even on this topic some are saying the automatic upload from Zwift to Garmin is sufficient while some are saying I need to record on a Garmin Edge device. I wonder where the confusion is coming from.
But what about the answer from people saying it’s not needed to get Garmin’s Training Load and Effect? How come some say you need to double record and some say upload from Zwift is enough?
I don’t need the badges or challenges or stamina. I only want the Training Effect, Load and Status on Garmin Connect. Distance, duration, power, speed, calories as well but I believe those are always included.
