Anyone else watching race times not posting accurately to zwift power as what’s showing once you cross the tape and the confetti goes off? I’m off by +26 seconds on today’s fzr race. And noticed about the same difference in my flat is fast race a day or two ago. Do I need to immediately end my ride once I cross the end line?
I think it’s the time btwn the countdown timer reaching zero and you actually getting out of the pen and on to the open road at the start of the race.
The HUD time shows you two different things:
During the race the HUD time is the time since the race started, and this race starting is, as David says, when the clock counts down to zero and you start to leave the pen.
[There is an official start line a few hundred metres down the road, generally 20-30 second. This start line is used when your HUD would start the ‘Zwift activity’ from.]
As soon as you cross the finishing line your race is over and your Zwift and ZwiftPower race time will be the HUD time in play immediately you crossed the line. However almost immediately your HUD and Zwift activity reverts to the amount of time since you crossed that official start line which is when your actual activity started. Confusing as there is a race activity and a ride activity.
