Fellow Zwifters. I tried Zwift running for the first time yesterday. I bought a Zwift Foot Pod, installed it on my shoe and went to the gym to use the treadmill. I did the calibration, Set the calibration for 6.0mph, did that for 40 seconds, then the app told me to set the treadmill to 5.1mph and hold for 40 seconds and then to 6.9mph and hold for 40 seconds. I did all that and it seemed to work fine. I then entered a course and did a run. I set the treadmill to 6.5mph for my run. I noticed that the app was registering anywhere from 5.9 to 6.2mph and after my 4.30 mile run it appears I averaged 10 minute miles which would say that the app registered my speed at 6.0 average even though I did my entire run at 6.5 on the treadmill. Did I do something wrong when I calibrated or is there going to be a bit of error? I am just trying to gauge what to expect from the program. I really enjoyed using zwift run, it made my time on the treadmill much more interesting. Thanks in advance for the help.
Hi Eric,
Try calibrating at a higher initial speed than 6.0 mph and let us know if that corrects the issue. Thanks
