Zwift Ride x Garmin Tacx Neo 2T

Yes, however the controls on the bike would not pair to the game, so none of the buttons would work.

There was some recent discussion about using unsupported trainers with the Ride frame in this topic:

Thanks

Have no interest in the buttons etc, solely for ERG so sounds like it will be ok?

Yes ERG mode is just between the trainer and the game so that all stays the same, and it should be able to adjust resistance using the available gear. You could always put a different sized cog on the trainer if you wanted - lots of those available that are not the Zwift Cog.

So to sum it up:

  • The Zwift Ride Bike will physically fit on Tacx Neo Smart Trainers
  • The buttons of the bike won’t work
  • riding in ERG works

is that right?
I also want to use just the bike, as my old bike I used to use with the neo is slowly breaking down, and I dont wat to build up a whole new bike just to ride my intervall sessions.

That is correct

For the price of the Ride you could buy Play controllers and a nice used road bike to park on the trainer.

are you saying that to use the ride in erg mode you have to switch the cog for a cassette?
I picked up the Zwift Ride for my Tacx expecting to use a 3rd party app to connect everything. I haven’t sort that yet so I figured I just use erg mode since over 90% of my riding is in workout mode anyways. However Erg mode doesn’t seem to be working. The resistance doesn’t change at all and I just have a steady watt output unless I change my cadence.

Is this because Im pairing my trainer AND Zwift ride controls?

If I only pair the trainer and not the controls will ERG work?

I suppose when I get home I can just test that but figured Id ask.
