I’ve been using the Zwift Ride since its release and decided to remove the chain today to strip and wax it. While spinning the pedals without the chain, I noticed a faint clicking sound. Initially, I thought it might be the pedals, so I removed them, but the sound is still there. I hadn’t noticed it before today.
If I reattach the chain, the clicking sound disappears but I assume it’s just being masked by the sound of the chain moving. I removed the small plastic covers around on the arm and made sure the bolts had not come loose. I considered removing the chain ring to inspect it, but I don’t have a square tool. Another possibility is that the bearing could be failing.
Should I be worried about this or just say f it and carry on?
