Zwift Ready compatibility for Tacx Neo 2T Neo 2 Neo 2 SE and Neo 3M [June 2025]

P.S. and i uninstalled the tacx app from my smartphone. Something that i did solved the issue, dunno what

updated my 2T pretty much the day it came out, no issues with the limited use so far using bluetooth, virtual shifting works, did have an issue that zwift wouldn’t see the trainer upon update but that was due to the trainer still being paired with the tacx app

I have the same issue. After virtual shifting update on Neo 2T it stopped working. Connection only works for a second or two and then there is No Signal message.

Which brand of Bluetooth dongle did you get?

Sounds ecxactly the same, I’m still in contact with garmin but they are slow to respond and claim that it didn’t change anything to the bluetooth (or the extra traffic?)
It was just a cheap dongle, I bought and extension cable aswell but didn’t use it

Thanks! For now I used pairing by phone. It worked really nice.

Almost identical issue here:
Similar issues here since updating to 2.6.0. Can connect to Zwift on my Windows laptop via BLE but then then it will go through a cycle of disconnection/reconnection every 10 seconds or so.
No issues previously before updating to 2.6.0.

ANT still works fine, but need to use BLE for Zwift click.

Solved the issue with getting a dongle. It could be also bluetotth driver need to be updated with firmware update. I disabled onboard bluetooth and installed a usb bluetooth dongle and work fine.

If it’s remained solid, please share the Bluetooth adapter you are using. IIRC you have something with an extended antenna?

yeah its one of these : Gigabyte GC-WB1733D-I PCIe expansion card : Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

as I say though, I only have limited testing of the virtual shifting, a couple of portal efforts and zero issues so far

I’ve used a CycleOps Hammer and Saris H3 recently and I’m getting not less than 3 dropouts per hours. I’ve bought new cables, dongles, switched trainers, etc. and can’t stop it. I told my SO the other day that I regretted riding the trainer instead of being outside when I had so many issues, I quit the ride.

+1 on this. I found an old Bluetooth dongle and used that after disabling the laptops integrated Bluetooth. Works fine now. Annoying solution though.

I used Ugreen 5.4 $13 doiiars on Amazon

Just put a BT 5.4 PCiE MSI BE chip and got a new ant+ dongle for the pc. Probably completely overkill but no dropouts since that went in thus far. It was getting to an absolutely infuriating level that I’m sure the average user would just find a different avenue to pursue their bike ride.

Same problem here…did the firmware update on my neo 2t which i used for 3 years on zwift without any problems and now the connection drops every few seconds.
My pc has a wifi 7 card with bluetooth 5.4, tried reinstalling the drivers, removing it, put it back in, everything, but the problem is still there.
Tacx desktop app works, so the problem is between neo 2t and zwift, I suppose.
Pairing by phone works but that shouldn’t be the solution, neither buying a bluetooth dongle. It should work as it did so far

Just out of interest, have you got race mode enabled..? Are you using Virtual Shifting..?

I completely agree, garmin keeps claiming that nothing requires different hardware or software after their update, so mayba zwift needs to have a look at it
Haven’t read anything about the 3M yet, maybe a different bluetooth transmitter (or it just uses Wi-Fi?)

Yes, race mode on and virtual shifting

I wonder what happens if you turn one or both off?

@shooj are you tracking this thread..? seems some peeps are having PC connection issues with Neo´s post release of the latest firmware & when using VS & race mode.

Thanks.

No virtual shifting, race mode on or off doesn’t make any difference
