Zwift Play: disable braking option

“For now”

Would be nice to have the option to disable the steering in the Zwift app. I mainly use the navigation, power ups and virtual shifting buttons on the ZP controllers.

Another one here in favour of a remap ability, or as a minimum the ability to disable braking.

I have the additional issue that every so often my left controller brake comes on for no obvious reason, and the only way to disable it is to turn off the controller.

There’s another thread for that one. (Marked solved but people are still having issues.)

Thanks mate. I have posts in that topic already, but appreciate the pointer.

I’m waiting for the non-beta version. v2.0

Please can we have the option to disable braking on the Zwift play controllers via the Zwift settings menu.
Many have asked for the option. It’s far to easy to accidently brake in a heated race situation when steering on the very same paddles and then lose the wheels of the pack.

Agreed - and with virtual shifting added to the buttons just in front, braking becomes all too easy by mistake…

Hi there. Welcome to Forums. It’s Juan here from Zwift. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts here.

Feedback from Zwifters like you is always helpful in developing improvements to all aspects of the gaming experience. I understand how useful would be to disable breaking to prevent hit it while you steering.

I’ll share your comments with the most appropriate team for notes. Thanks!

Hey all, please update to version 1.63 when the phased rollout is available to you.

I see the slider and I can set the sensitivity to “Off”. However, my avatar’s “braking light” still comes on when braking. Also the controllers are giving the haptic feedback as if I was braking. I don’t see the velocity dropping, so I don’t think I’m actually braking. Still it is confusing, and I think the haptic feedback and the braking light should be off as well when the Braking Sensitivity is set to Off… Do others see this behaviour as well?

Resurrecting an old thread -

I have a KICKR BIKE SHIFT.
When the KICKR BIKE SHIFT is paired as Controls, the top buttons on the hoods replicate several of the Zwift Play buttons - ride ons, power ups, u-turn, etc.
The inner buttons are steering.
The brake levers work as brakes.
However, there is no option for brake sensitivity in the Settings menu.

The “Drop Buttons” description doesn’t match what or where the buttons are that do work.
Will that be available at some point?

mine shows braking also. For what reason I do not know
