Zwift play and shifting gears

Can Swift play take the place of Zwift click when it comes to changing gears .

Hi @Albert_Castaneda
Shuji at Zwift HQ here. I’m a little confused because I checked your server logs and it appears you already use Zwift Play controllers? Are you asking if the latest Zwift Click v2 can take the place of your Play controllers? If that’s what you mean, the answer is yes.

Zwift has made several generations of game controllers.

Zwift Play controllers are the original. These are a left and right controller each with multiple buttons that can navigate in-game menus and support Virtual Shifting as long as your smart trainer’s firmware does too. See this Support Article for a list of trainers that will support Virtual Shifting.

Zwift Click v1 is a single unit with two buttons. It only controls virtual shifting, and does not navigate in-game menus.

Zwift Click v2 is our newest controller hardware that supersedes the two that came before it. Click v2 has all the functions of Zwift Play, but in a smaller form factor. So yes, Click v2 navigates in-game menus, and also controls virtual shifting.

Do they have brakes?
