Zwift on Stadia!

It would be awesome if Zwift could launch a Stadia client - you’d be able to run at great graphics and frame rates without the need for a decent gaming pc in the paincave!

An Apple TV 4K barely costs more than a Stadia and won’t have the (for some) unrealistic bandwidth expectations Stadia has. Why put development time in a fixed problem for the handful of fanatics that insist on using a platform that will (in my opinion, given Google’s history) not be around in 18 months?

Thanks for your reply

Firstly, there’s no such thing as ‘a stadia’ - you don’t need to buy hardware. Early this year you will be able to just subscribe (either pro for 4k or free for 1080p) and get going with hardware running in the cloud. So I respectfully disagree that costs are comparable

Secondly, please be kind about your fellow zwifters. I’m not a fanatic, it’s not unreasonable to see the opportunity cloud streaming could have for a platform like Zwift.

This would be great if it could work. I wonder what the bluetooth capabilities of the Chromecast Ultra are? Enough to connect a smart trainer and a HRM? I wouldn’t want to have to use the companion app.

The 4k apple tv is twice the price of the stadia and a totally different proposition. Don’t write it off, game streaming is the future. In 5 years Zwift will be streaming, or it will be left behind.

I would love this. I use stadia already for gaming but this totally makes sense for Zwift. Would make it dead easy for people to get zwift on their big screen TV with very little or no hardware investment and would allow people to rum zwift as it is meant to be rum on any existing hardware they have lying around - for free as no stadia subscription would be needed.
