Zwift on ipad pro and airpods

Hi,

Over last few weeks my zwift keeps crashing mid ride.

I have been able to replicate the problem. It happens while i am zwifting and listening to music on my airpods through my iphone. Whenever i pause or stop the music on my iphone, my airpods automatically switch to my ipad, at which point Zwift freezes.

Anyone else?

I get a pretty consistent crash when in a group ride and putting my AirPods in. Something to do with the system message saying they’re connected.

Same, incoming call switches devices and the app freezes.

Anyone from Zwift??? Is this a recognised problem which is being resolved?

I’m having the same issue after the latest iOS update, Zwift on my iPad crashes when I put in my AirPod Pros during a workout or a group ride. Seems to get caught up trying to hand off Bluetooth between my iPad and my phone.

Hi,

I have solved the problem. This needs to be done on both the iphone and ipad. Enter bluetooth in settings and enter airpods setting and stop automatic connection. This needs to be done on BOTH devices.

How to stop AirPods switching to a new device

  1. Make sure that your AirPods and your iPhone are connected.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Tap on Bluetooth.
  4. In the list, tap the little “i” next to your AirPods .
  5. Tap “Connect to this iPhone (or iPad)”.
  6. Instead of " Automatically " select “When I last connected to this iPhone”.

Thanks Matthew, I literally just did the same and it worked!
