Zwift not syncing to Garmin? [Feb 24 2025]

My zwift ride synced to strava but not garmin connect. I even tried disconnecting and reconnecting my accounts but no luck. Any help would be appreciate as I use Garmin to track everything. Thanks

It can be challenging when the connection doesn’t work smoothly. It’s essential to keep your Zwift and Garmin activities in sync to effectively track your stats.

I see that you already have the game and the Zwift Companion (ZC) app updated to versions 1.84.0 and 3.66.2. Since you already disconnected and reconnected to refresh them, I recommend checking the steps at the end of the article “Zwift and Third-party Platforms.” to see if that helps:

  • Check you have cookies and Javascript enabled for both Zwift.com and any third-party websites.
  • Check you’re using the most recent version of your internet browser.
  • Clear your browser cache to resolve any cache-related issues. For steps on clearing your cache, check out refresh your cache.com.

As a workaround, could you try uninstalling both the Garmin and Zwift apps and then set everything up from scratch? Just make sure to update the Garmin app from the App Store.

To fill you in a bit more: I checked the Garmin status page, and everything seems to be running fine. However, we’ve noticed another issue on our end that might be related.

Zwifters report no (Garmin) Speed or Cadence sensor data over the ZC bridge. If that is the case, we are aware of this.

This happened to me, the Zwift activity came over into Garmin Connect at UTC/GMT time rather than my time zone (CST, GMT -6) so the activity was showing on the following day but not showing on my Connect dashboard.

I have no idea why this started happening but it appears to have started on Saturday, Feb 22nd.

EDIT: My timezone in Garmin Connect had been changed to GMT after syncing a new Garmin S2 smart scale. I don’t know why, but that’s what happened in my instance.

About once a week, one of my zwift rides does not upload to garmin connect. They do however, upload to Strava. I can not understand why some workes fine and some dont. I have tried to download the .fit file and manuallu upload these, but then i get an error message in connect. Is there any explanation of why this is happening, and what I can do to fix it?

I have exactly the same issue.
Sometime the FIT is corrupted. Corrupted FIT are always the one generate from a workout session.
I don’t know if this is related to the recent update :

  • FIT files now include power target data from workouts.
