I keep getting the following message in Zwift Power even though I have “opted in” on my profile page.
Please update your Zwift ID on the connection page to complete registration.
Is there something else I need to do to to fix this issue?

You have not opted-in most likely.
Once done it should look like this:-
I wish it would say “You are opted-in” then a button to change status as this catches many out.
Strange it does say that. Do I need to complete an event with “opt in” before it will recognize my ID?
