Zwift Hub One to Wahoo Kickr Core

Hi - so I’ve just made the move from the hub one to the Kickr core. My hub one had BT issues!

I put 2500km through my hub one. FTP was on the rise and I thought I was improving nicely.

I’ve just completed my first ride through the Kickr core and everything is down.

Through the hub one I used to ride in G14 comfortably averaging 150ish watts.

I’ve just joined a group ride running 1.5 - I was struggling to keep up on what should have been an easy ride…… it turned into a threshold session…

My average output was 90ish, running in like G8-10

Everything in the Zwift app settings has remained the same, running the same Zwift click.

Have I gone wrong somewhere or are the two trainers that far apart?

If I was to complete an ftp test now I’d be nowhere near where I was on the hub one?

Thoughts!?

If you had calibrated your old trainer from time to time and have already calibrated your new trainer they should show the (almost) same numbers.

I believe they auto calibrate now? Have you updated the firmwate of the kickr core using the Wahoo app? @Ryan_Grogan

Hi Mike - yes I updated firmware and performed the spindown… I performed the spindown barefoot? Half arsed it …. Could that be the issue?

I’m 182cm 86kg - a 91w average shouldn’t be threshold should it?

Lol, unlikely

Should I have any of these enabled? That could be causing it?

No those are fine how they are. The wheel circumference looks small however. I would bump that up to 2127 for a 700x28c tire.
