Zwift hub one low watts

My Zwift hub one trainer is reporting such low watts, it was working just fine before the update recently but now it’s just reporting 40-50 watts, and if I sprint as hard as I can I only report 120-130 watts. Does anyone know how to fix this? There’s no calibration anymore, it’s up to date, I tried to do a spin down on a downhill but that didn’t help either.

Hi @_Dennis_14

Shuji at Zwift HQ here. I looked at your server logs and it appears you normally Zwift using a PC, is that so?

Recently, it looks like you’re also logged in at the same time from an iPhone 15, and I’m guessing it’s to troubleshoot. Don’t do that. Simultaneous logins from two devices can have lots of weird symptoms including this one. If the PC is your main Zwift computer, we recommend uninstalling the main Zwift app from the iPhone to eliminate the risk of concurrent logins.

Some other common factors that contribute to low resistance seem to be in order: the firmware for your Zwift Hub and Zwift Click are both up to date, and you’re pairing (natively) to the PC over Bluetooth.

Are you in Gear 24 and still you don’t have enough resistance? You may want to look at the Settings menu of the game app and see how your shift style and virtual gear range are set up. Here’s an article to guide you through that. Hope that helps!

Hi Shuji, I understand that he is having the exact opposite problem - no matter how hard he sprints, he cannot generate significant watts.

A friend of mine encountered exactly the same problem two days ago. First he had some brief signal losses from the Zwift Hub and decided to restart Zwift. After that the Hub reported extremely low watts, exactly as Dennis described. He finally solved it by power cycling the entire equipment including the Hub and could finish another ride without further problems.

AppleTV 4k, Zwift Hub One, all on latest firmware and updates.

There’s some unfortunate news to that, so yes I was able to get the correct wattage however it was only in ERG mode for one interval. When I connected the zwift click little controller it still went back to the same problem.

“Turn everything off and turn it back on again” works wonders for various reasons, but yes. definitely do this early in your troubleshooting steps to save yourself a lot of aggravation.
