Zwift Hub: Power reading way too low (always around 80 Watts)

I’ve had a Zwift Hub since end of november 2022 which I use with Ipad running Zwift.
Used it for indoor trainings on Zwift without any issues until yesterday.

Issue: I start riding, and the power shown in Zwift is quite correct to my feeling (and corresponds with my effort and HR) After a few seconds the power reading drops slowly to around 80 Watts and stays there, no matter what I do. My Garmin Edge coupled to the Assioma power pedals on the bike show double the power. I can change gears, increase cadence and my power reading follows on the Garmin, but stays the same on Zwift. ERG does not seem to work, is the same when doing a workout or just free riding.
No matter what I do, power in Zwift stays around 80 Watts and on the Garmin Edge I can see it going up to 300 Watts when accelerating.

Used my Iphone with Zwift to steer the Zwift Hub: no change
Used my Garmin Edge to steer the Hub: no change
Used my Garmin to read the power coming from the Hub: it shows the same 80 Watts.

Contacted Support yesterday but no reaction so far.

Any help would be appreciated.

Assuming you have already power-cycled the trainer and it’s running current firmware, I don’t think there’s anything to do other than wait for support. Don’t keep emailing them to follow up or their response may be delayed even more. Since you have a power meter I would pair that to Zwift in the interim.

Hello Paul, thanks for your reply.

I have followed the power-cycle as shown in the support chat, but with no effect on the problem.

Update on this isue/

I got in contact with Zwift Support. After multiple tests and video’s of the problem sent to them, we got to the point that it was clear that there was something with the Zwift Hub that could not be solves easily. I got the offer to send it back and get a new one in exchange.

I received a Kickr Core yesterday, installed it and everything is fine. Makes a lot less noise also…

Happy with the support I got, even though their first reply took some time…
