The fit files that get saved in Documents/Zwift/Activities/ are always corrupt if I don’t upload at the end of a ride through Zwift. I cannot later import them into Garmin connect. The only file that seems to work (but cuts off some of the end of the ride) is the inProgressActivity.fit file. This was not always the case - the bug seems to have crept in around the time Makuri Islands was released. [Capture]

Have you downloaded the fit files from both Zwift and Strava and both are corrupt? Have you also tried uploading the .fit file if you can access it? Only on certain platforms though. That’s 3 options for you.

try downloading the fit file and uploading it here: https://www.fitfiletools.com/#/top and use the corrupt time fixer to see if that helps. can happen if you skip steps in a workout.

Unfortunatly i tried all of the above. I did skip steps in the workout so i could ride in Makuri.

Slightly confused by the last, you skipped steps to ride in Makuri?

You used a workout in order to get in the world of your choice? You don’t need to skip steps for that if you create a custom workout that only contains a 10 second free ride segment.

I have exactly the same situation as Chris happening. Yesterday I launched a custom workout to access to Innsbruck (I wanted to do the KOM there). I skipped through all the workout intervals, then started my free ride in Innsbruck as expected. The ride itself worked normally. At the conclusion, the ride synced into Strava, but cannot be synced into Garmin. The file is refused by Garmin Connect (An error occurred with your upload. Please try again.). I’m guessing there may be an issue with generating the fit file when using a workout to access a world. @Paul_Southworth: good to know about the 10 second free ride custom workout, I’ll use that in the future.

[image] Paul: if you create a custom workout that only contains a 10 second free ride segment. this is also a good way to exit a long workout if you want to free ride for a bit if you don’t want to skip through all the remaining segments.

[image] André: I skipped through all the workout intervals This is the issue. When skipping very fast thru the workout blocks does create a bad fit file. To avoid this wait a bit between clicks or as Paul suggested make a workout with just one block.

Ah, good to know, thank you. It was my first time trying to get to a world not in the calendar. Is there any way you know of to fix the file to upload to Garmin?

[image] Chris: try downloading the fit file and uploading it here: FIT File Tools and use the corrupt time fixer to see if that helps. can happen if you skip steps in a workout. you can try this - it worked for me when i had a similar issue but others have said it doesn’t work
