Hi @Huub_Houet

Shujni at Zwift HQ here. Have you uninstalled Microsoft Edge by any chance? The Zwift Launcher app piggybacks onto the OS default browser.

If you have not disabled MS Edge - please see if this article might help?

There are some other issues that might crash the Zwift Launcher app in this article Would you also have a look through those as well? If those don’t help, please reach out to my Support Team colleagues for some one-on-one assistance.

From your articles I learned the graphics driver could be the problem. Windows update indeed lost the graphics drivers and I had from old media the driver for windows 7 installed. I guessed that was the problem.

So I installed the latest (windows 10) driver from AMD website - I had to disable some Microsoft security option - and now the launcher works alright.

Thank you and Ride on!

Thanks for looping back to let us know you solved it! Yes - updating graphics drivers can solve crashes.

If this machine is old enough that it originally came with Windows 7, I’m surprised the motherboard (specifically chipsets) met Microsoft’s minimum spec to run Win 11. Glad you got it working all the same.

All of a sudden, Zwift won’t turn on. At first, it shows me the logo where I press lets go, but then it throws me out. I updates graphics card driver.

Hi Aleš, it’s hard to give you any advice without knowing more details about the machine you run Zwift on.

Hp Probook 470 5G

OK that system came in a few different configurations. Some of them came with only 4GB RAM so if that’s what you have then you would need to bring the memory up to at least 8GB to meet the minimum requirements of Zwift.

On an 8th gen CPU the graphics driver to install would be this one:

And I would double check that the storage is not getting full.

I have a similar problem - all of a sudden Zwift crashs on startup. “Login” → “Let’s go” → Window disappears…

Fresh reinstall, GPU driver update, starting as Admin nothing helped so far.
I’m answering here because my system seems somewhat similar to that of Aleš. (8GB RAM instead of 4GB - but about the same age and CPU/GPU).

Where is a good place to find help and maybe someone who can check the Eventprotocols / Logfiles?

If you contact support they can look at your log files. support@zwift.com

Do you see your CPU or GPU listed on that driver page linked above? Is that the driver you installed?

Also check storage utilization in the laptop.

thanks for the fast answer! Email is on its way…
Do you see your CPU or GPU listed on that driver page linked above? → yes
Is that the driver you installed? → yes
Also check storage utilization in the laptop. → >250GB free should be more than enough

Doing a completely clean re-install according to these instructions should be on your list of things to try:

Which CPU model do you have? If it’s 9th or 10th gen then depending on the model you might also want to try turning off the Video Screenshots setting in Zwift. That can cause instability in Zwift on Windows sometimes, and the system will perform better with it disabled. If you have a 7th or 8th generation CPU then the setting will not be there.

Fresh reinstall was the first I had done. CPU is an i7 - so no screenshot settings…
