Hi there,
I just received my Elite Zwift Cog, but I don’t have the necessary tools at the moment to swap out the cassette on my Elite Suito-T. Is it possible to use the Click for virtual shifting without replacing the cassette—without risking any damage?
Thanks !
Hi @Antoine_Bouyaud,
Jose from Zwift Support here. Thanks for posting in the forums!
The Zwift Cog simplifies chain alignment and bike swaps, though it’s not electronic and isn’t strictly needed for virtual shifting. Your Suito-T’s firmware handles the gear simulation, and the Click controller sends the shift commands.
However, for the full virtual shifting experience, we do recommend installing the Zwift Cog once you have the necessary tools and do not worry anything will result in damage.
If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to reply here or contact us directly.
Thanks!

I meant nothing will be damaged in the meantime?
Hi @Antoine_Bouyaud,
Thanks for replying.
Rest assured, using your current setup without the Zwift Cog will not damage your Click controller or your trainer. There’s no need to worry about that at all! You can absolutely continue using your Click with your existing cassette in the meantime.
Please feel free to reply if you have any more questions.
Have a nice day.
