Hi, so i completed the bon voyage route to get the Zwift Camp:Build rewards but the 2nd stage is still not “complete”. I have done the route 3 times by now and still no rewards. Does anyone else have this problem? Would really appreciate the help.
I believe it may be due to the fact you completed a different workout instead of the Build workout. I think possibly similar to this thread.
So i gotta do the route without doing a custom workout?
I can’t be certain but I think Yes you must.
This week, I tried to complete the activities with custom workouts on top as per structured training, but it didn’t consistently count towards completion:
Glasgow Crit Six - completed route, but not completed activity
Road to sky - all good
Glasgow Crit Six - 2nd attempt, days later, yet again nothing
Hot laps - didn’t count as completed
Bon Voyage - didn’t count as completed
Very annoying given that activities are shown as “Free Ride” - seems very much like a bug
I completed Zwift Camp Stage 3 today. From the main menu, I selected the “Build” workout that was shown as recommended. When I scrolled to Stage 3, I saw two identical options: both labeled “Hot Laps”, with exactly the same length, elevation, and details. I chose one of them.
Once I loaded into the map, I was guided through the structured workout, but I received no on-screen instructions at all. I only knew what to do because I had checked the workout details online beforehand.
This also happened to me during Stage 4, but I still received completion credit afterward, so I assumed it wasn’t a problem.
For Stage 3, I finished the entire ride warmup, then 3 laps at FTP, and finally the climb at the end but I still did not receive completion credit. It was simply recorded as a free ride. I was not disconnected, I didn’t make any U-turns, and I followed the workout correctly from start to finish. I put in full effort and ended up getting nothing for it.
I did not realize this was still a beta experience. I really hope I can still receive my Stage 3 completion reward, because this was extremely frustrating and honestly makes me question continuing my subscription when bugs like this happen.
I’m experiencing the exact same issue, and it’s honestly really disappointing. Is there any fix for this? And will we receive compensation or credit for the stages we can’t complete because of these bugs?
Zwift charges $20 per month, yet the platform is failing at some of its most basic functions. It’s incredibly frustrating to put in the effort, follow the workout, and end up with nothing due to issues that should have been caught earlier.
At this point, it really makes you question what we’re paying for. Problems like this shouldn’t be happening on a platform of this scale it’s the kind of thing that feels worthy of wider attention if it keeps happening.
what do you mean “A different workout”. the user states they started the workout Zwift camp: build, they did not start a random other workout.
I did this route doing a sweet spot workout, it never worked when i activated a workout of my own. I tried it yesterday without a workout, then you can see all the texts and laps. After this ride the route showed up as completed.
I still don’t understand. What I did was just from the home screen, select the Zwift camp: Build. scroll down to stage 3 and start it from there. What do I have to do differently to get the progress?
Did you not use a different workout? Did you ride futher then the intended route?
I only did a different workout “before” starting this one. i started my custom one as a warm up, exited to the menu. Then started the stage 3. I don’t see why it should matter?
There appear to be two different bugs involved within the Build program and within this thread. The initial bug for the OP was to do with trying to complete a different workout within, and on top of, stages 1-3 Build workouts.
Your bug is different.
On the Build screen when you now look at stages 1-3 you see two options and both say free ride. They do not do the same thing, but should. The option on the left which I suspect you chose is normally the group workout option when a group workout is available. It appears that when no group workout is available instead of removing the tile/option Zwift has converted it over to just a free ride around the chosen route, NOT the Build workout.
The option on the right is the free ride option and this delivers the build workout, including workout messages etc. (I’m assuming you saw no workout messages but somehow knew what the workout required you to do).
There is a small chance someone from Zwift might visit this topic @manda_F but probably best you contact Contact Us - Official Zwift Support | Zwift and they will give you credit for Build stage 3.
That’s very insightful, thank you for taking the time to explain it, this makes a lot of sense.
You’re right about one thing: I knew what to do only because I’d read the Stage 3 walkthrough on Zwift Insider beforehand. After having no workout instructions at all during Stage 4 (though I still received the reward), I decided to read the walkthrough before every stage. Seems like that’s a separate bug altogether.
I’m running Zwift on the Windows 11 app, for what it’s worth.
What’s interesting is your point about tile placement. For Stage 5 (currently ongoing), the UI shows the group ride on the right, clearly labeled “Zwift Camp: Build Stage 5 Group Ride,” while the left tile is labeled “Free Ride.” That appears to be the opposite of what’s happening in Stages 1–3, which makes the behaviour even more confusing and inconsistent.
In any case, I’ve now contacted Zwift Support and submitted the form. I honestly didn’t expect them to worry much about a relatively small individual issue like this, so if they do credit Stage 3, I’ll be pleasantly surprised.
Appreciate the explanation, it definitely helped clarify what likely happened here.
