Zwift App Crashing (PC)

I have a brand new gaming PC (2 weeks old), which is way, way over the spec needed to run Zwift and yet every time I ride, the PC crashes Zwift and either restarts to the windows home screen or simply locks up on the current Zwift screen.

Checking through Event Viewer, this is what it says:- The program ZwiftApp.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed.

I’ve reinstalled Zwift, removed and downloaded new display drivers and made sure that the antivirus software is in check.

Does anyone have any suggestions please, as it’s becoming a real pain for me to not be able to use my new Zwift Bike, Trainer & PC!!!

After approximately how long does Zwift lock up or crash? Is that the same for all worlds and all types of events (e.g. more/less detailed worlds, number of other riders around).

anywhere from 30 mins to 2 hours, but usually less…all worlds, all ride types everything…it’s awful

I ask because recently there have been a couple of similar reports, so I wonder if these are related.

Does the log file give any clues?

Zwift on PC crashes at ~42 minutes

Since the latest update, my Zwift app is consistently crashing at around the 42 minute mark. This was previously working fine, and there have been no changes to the PC otherwise. Symptoms: Around the 42 minute mark of total time, Zwift freezes and then the app closes I’ve tried waiting for awhile…

It sounds very familiar yes…I checked the Event Log and at first it was a Kernel Event Code 141, which could be one of numerous things…then when I’d removed and reinstalled the graphics driver with the official one from the manufacturer I had Software Driver Time Out error message and now I can see The program ZwiftApp.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed.
