I have a Spirit Fitness CIC850. How do I get it set up so the resistance changes as you ride uphill or downhill?
I looked up that bike and it doesn’t appear to have that capability. It looks like a spin bike with manual resistance adjustment. These can work with Zwift but don’t provide the best experience compared to a smart trainer or smart bike.
Does the Peloton bike have that capability? The Spirit Fitness bike hooks up to the Zwift app but if it doesn’t change resistance I don’t see the value. The Spirit Fitness bike has instructions in there manual on how to connect the app.
Peloton bikes are not compatible with Zwift. Peloton wants to keep you in their system.

Hi,
I’m having trouble connecting the Spirit CIC850 indoor bike to Zwift. I’ve tried following the manual and pressing the Bluetooth/phone icon on the console, but the bike doesn’t show up in the app at all. I’m using it at a gym, so I don’t know when or where it was purchased.
Has anyone successfully paired this model with Zwift or know if it supports Bluetooth FTMS? Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!
