I just got dropped and it’s not allowing me to get reconnected. Haven’t had a problem with the trainer connection until now.
I just had to unplug it and plug it back in. That’s real annoying and inexcusable. If it happens to me in a race it’s going out the window.
What firmware version are you on? You can check out the giant thread on it, but there have been issues with wifi connectivity dropping out, but Bluetooth connectivity seems to be solid. The latest firmware seems to have fixed wifi connectivity, but (or maybe a plus for racing?) now seems to be reading 10-20W too high at least for some people.
Hmm. When I went to go see my firmware and check for updates it says I got a failed to get current version. I believe I was on 14 something.
Hi @Kru,
Thank you for bringing this inquiry to our attention! This is Jose from Zwift support. I’m sorry to hear about the disconnections you are experiencing. I checked your recent logs and noticed that your trainer has the latest firmware version, 4.17. However, this firmware version should resolve connectivity issues found in the previous version. Since you mentioned receiving a “failed to get current version” message, it seems this update has not been installed yet.
I also observed multiple disconnections from your trainer’s controllers while you were in-game, likely due to the same issue. I recommend following the article linked here to resolve your connection problems. However, it seems the issue may be stemming directly from your trainer. Ideally, you should reach out to Jet Black support for further assistance. To contact JetBlack Cycling support, you can email them at: support@jetblackcycling.com or supportUSA@jetblackcycling.com
I hope this information is helpful! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.
