What value do you need to have on zMAP or zFTP to be in the A+ pace group?
For the Category Enforcement pace groups (defined by zMAP or zFTP) there is no A+. It only goes from D to A.
In the old ZwiftPower categories you would have to reach 4.6/Wkg FTP (not zFTP) to be A+. From the Help tab on ZwiftPower:
Isnt there also a verification process once you hit A+?
Ok so the A+ is a thing of the past?
I’m not aware of it having any functional use today (I could be wrong!) but if you want that black A+ on your ZwiftPower profile that’s as good a reason as any to go get it.
No, just an old zp thing. It looks good though.
Ok but is there any way to get it now?
To Ride hard ? and do the watts. @Christoffer_Collin
So I will get A+ if I get an average of 4.6 on my 3 best 20 min sessions? I thought those cut-offs where replaced by newer ones (for A:s zMAP 5.1 or zFTP 4.2)
I believe they are but keep in mind it applies to the average of your best three 20 minute efforts so you will have to do it three times and I think it’s 95% of a 20 minute effort but don’t quote me on that.
Assuming all that is still true could try a workout with three 20 minute blocks of 4.85W/kg (though it might have to be 3 activities, I’m not sure about that. I just like the idea of you doing that workout)
No not 3 in a row. I probably have to be completely rested to do it, so once every week at the most.
Best 3 in 90 day average. Has to be in events.
Don’t overthink it. Zwift just never changed the feature when they released the new stuff
Oh, has to be in events? So only races? No regular rides or workouts?
Correct. You aren’t dealing with an active feature… you are dealing with a community built workaround that the main company doesn’t care about it.
I thought any event would work, so a group ride should also do it
In the context of an event, the user could still use something else to control ERG mode as long as Zwift isn’t paired for Resistance on the pairing screen. The something else could be a cycling computer, fitness watch, trainer manufacturer’s app, etc.
That’s what we said. “Regular rides or workouts” are not events.
Could do a 20min ftp group workout or put erg mode in any event etc.
