Warmup would be nice

Not sure, if this is the right thread or channel but: wouldn‘t it be nice to have workouts to warmup systematically before going into a race?

the Ineos race warmup is very popular with my club

It would actually be nice if a warmup was integrated into the pre-event pen experience. So if you join with over ‘x’ mins to go in the event there would be an entry point to select “warm-up”, which you can completely ignore, or.. if you select it … it would have a default warmup given how much time is left before the event, or would let you pick your own warm-up workout from a list.

This warm-up could be its own activity and get uploaded with your stats, XP etc separate from the race. Today if you pedal in the pen you are not getting drops, or XP, but you would in this warmup etc. It would automatically wind down the warm-up with enough time before the event started etc.

Anyhow, yeah it might be interesting for them to consider baking in a warm-up flow into the pre-event flow. Until then you have to go out and dig for a warm-up, exit it and make sure you join the pen on time. They could also offer a cool-down workout after an event (as part of the “Exit back to Wattopia” selection screen they just add a “Cool Down” button) if they wanted to etc.

Agree, freewheeling in the pen before starting is not so great. Better if ERG mode was enabled in the start pen.
