Whoever Bikalicious is, they seemed to have embraced the tech as their default ride type… might be interesting to join their Road to sky ride… Maybe one way for me to finish this route without too long of a time on the trainer if speeds are unrealistic
Can you comment though on what doesn’t work well? Last time I did one… everyone stayed together, which I guess is the point, even though I’m not a fan since it removes ability to do any of the KOM sprints, etc. Speeds of course are whacked given that you ride at the blob speed no matter what power, but that’s been the case in training ride events forever.
Here is a backdoor for turning it on for a Club Event. May not work for you but works for me. But you will likely be unhappy with it. Everyone rides slower.
Steps: Create your club event.
Get a link to the event using the Share feature.
Use that link to open the event in a web page. (you need to be logged into Zwift)
Go to the lower right part of the screen and find the small edit icon.
Click Edit Category
Scroll down and turn Rubberbanding on.
Click Confirm
Click Publish Event.
Do not go back and edit the event in the Companion app.
Unfortunately this back door hack has also broken. It was working well and then became hit or miss and then in the last week dunzo… fingers crossed we can get this going again. Happy to test in our club if necessary again as our Bike MS Club has riders of all abilities so this feature outside of meetups is a game saver.
