Wahoo Kickr stopped connecting

I have since uninstalled and reinstalled zwift on my computer and the companion app. This has not changed my results. Everything is the latest version.

Two days ago I was doing a workout when all of my devices connected by bluetooth for zwift dropped. Kickr, Wahoo HR monitor, zwift handlebar controllers. It was near the end of the workout, so I just turned everything off and assumed it was another loss connection issue. BTW, the BT didn’t stop working for earbuds and watch.

This morning, I tried ride on zwift, and my phone (pixel 7) is not connecting to the bluetooth devices at all. Companion is connecting with the game as it sees that the game is running on my computer. It just won’t connect to the Kickr. Nothing else has the option to connect until the Kickr connects, that’s normal.

I’ve gone through all of the connecting, disconnecting, rebooting everything routine. I even have a routine I use for getting it all to work correctly and that still doesn’t work. Plug in the Kickr, start zwift on the computer, start companion, and then everything connects usually.

I noticed that Zwift updated their Android client on 4/28. I can’t help but think that this is related as things were working great before then. Is the Android companion client messed up?

Hey @Cotting_DontCAmyUSA,

Thanks for posting in the Zwift forums. This is Jose from Zwift support.

Sorry to hear about your trainer connection issues. It looks like Bluetooth interference might be the problem. Check out this article on troubleshooting steps.

Try pairing your Kickr to another device using the Zwift Companion app, or connect it to the Wahoo Fitness app to rule out trainer issues.
