Update:
Finally ran across this post and it worked. (thank you [Will_Rsnhk])
Reinstalled the Wahoo app
Added the Kickr Core
Went to the settings
Changed the wheel size from the default (700 18C) to 700 x 19C
Performed a spindown
I know there are a lot of posts on this topic, but nothing is working for me. My kickr core connects to power, resistance, cadence, and shifting in game. Power, cadence, and shifting work in game, the issue is there is no resistance change. In the wahoo app I can manually adjust resistance and do a workout. The Kickr Core worked fine for the first 4-5 rides in zwift.
I have tried Zwift on two tablets (android and apple) as well as a laptop. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling zwift and restarting the tablets/laptop. I have tried the companion app as a bridge with no luck. I have left the Kickr Core unplugged for 30s as well as overnight with no luck.
Trainer difficulty - 100%
Power source - Kickr core 4425
Resistance - Kickr Core 4425
Cadence - Kickr Core 4425
Controls - Zwift Ride
All firmware is up to date and spindown has been completed in wahoo app.
I just tried a Zwift workout and resistance works as a workout, just no resistance in free ride while shifting.
Zwift support sent me to wahoo which wahoo is very slow to respond.
I just had the exact same problem, but with my Kickr v5. I updated/corrected the wheel circumference in the Wahoo app, and Zwift free rides worked again with proper resistance.
@shooj, can we get this pinned/flagged as a key troubleshooting step???
Another option for users to check if re-entering the wheel circumference doesn’t solve the problem is to check the ant+ connection. For some reason, since the most recent Zwift update for windows, Zwift on start up keeps connecting to the non FEC ant+ signal. It is very annoying. Often you don’t notice it until you load the route and attempt to start riding and there is no power or resistance.
Can I ask, are any of you using Apple TV? I seem to have faced the same issue with two different accounts and two different Wahoo Kickr’s (my wife & I often ride Watopia together). Felt like it could be a Wahoo issue, I did log with them and they mentioned testing in the Wahoo app by manually setting the resistance, which worked perfectly. However this isn’t resistance being fed back from the Apple TV so wondered if a botched software update from Apple could also be a point of content, maybe it isn’t sending the resistance back correctly from the Zwift app?
I was not using AppleTV, but my issue was present on a laptop, android tablet, and iPad. The issue was on the Wahoo side though and changing the settings worked.
