Wahoo Kickr loosing resistance after while

Hello, Zwifters,

I’m having issue with Zwift connected to Wahoo Kickr. After about 60 minutes of riding I just loosing resistance of trainer. To have got some power output I need to shift to hardest gear on bike. For example if I’m doing ERG workout it’s OK, but after I finished and would like to continue riding, there is no resistance. But sometimes it happens during workout, I need to turn off ERG and turn it back on. At last ride on last 5 km of ride it happened again, around 60min in.

It’s happening last 6 months. I tried unpair, reset, turning off and without any change. On Zwift pair menu is everything connected. Sometimes unpair in the Zwift help, but not every time, sometimes I switch to Wahoo app and again that help for a while, but not 100%.

I’m using iPad for Zwift, iPhone for Companion app and Wahoo Bolt on bike. Everything is updated.

This is Haziel, part of the Zwift Support Team, I know how having issues with the resistance can affect you.

To start could you please confirm that your Kickr trainer is calibrated following the manufacturer’s instructions, normally this fixes the issue of this kind.

Also, I noticed that there have been some signal interruptions on your account, please take a look to this article BLE and ANT+ Interference Troubleshooting Tips​ which covers some of the main reasons that might be causing this interference and their possible solutions, you can also try to try Using the Zwift Companion App as a Bridge.

I’m having Kickr V5 which doesn’t need spindown.

I have it on same space like when it works. Within few meters is a lot of devices and signals. But it’s works before.

I tried forget Kickr on all devices and reconect just on iPad, not helped.

Update - I reinstall Zwift and Wahoo app. No change. After 45min of ERG workout resistence went off. I need to turn on and off ERG. After ERG workout, I tried just ride, no resistance at all. I turned on Wahoo app, resistance came back on Zwift. After a while, resistance is off again. Turning Wahoo app on and wait for connection help for a while in Zwift.

If I look to paired devices on Zwift, they appeared connected without issue. Do I have some wrong setting in Wahoo app?

Whats going on, some ideas?
