Festive 500 was a Strava challenge that happened to allow Zwift km to count… Zwift did a little promo, but I don’t think was directly involved at all.
This is an in-game Zwift mission.
To amuse myself, I did just that. I totted up the actual metres climbed from all my rides since 24 Jan and then arranged it so that I finished tonight’s ride with exactly (only) 6067 metres climbed, out of the goal 6096.
As predicted, I got the ‘Complete!’ message in the Mission tile, the full kit in the Garage, the Mission badge, and just now the email to top it all off.
It’s nitpicking, I know, but it was fun working on it to find out.
My email preferences were turned off when I competed the Mission, I have turned them on now but haven’t received an e-mail. what should I do to get the invitation to the draw?
Just to put one other thing on the Zwift team’s radar: It would be nice to let us check progress on multiple channels. As it stands, I can only check progress if I sign in to the main app, pair a trainer, and then I can only check from my home screen. I can’t check on a ride, I can’t check if I hit just watch without pairing anything, I can’t check on the website or on the Companion app.
Obviously, if implementing multiple links to an ongoing challenge or mission would break some other functionality, then I guess I can understand if you hold off. Nevertheless, it seems like a reasonable expectation that I should be able to check my progress from multiple places.
I totally agree with this, it should be in the companion app the same way the Tour de Zwift is. Plus include the end date of the challenge in the description.
I agree with your sentiment, but it is possible to check your progress on the Zwift app (not Companion) on a mobile phone or tablet, without having to have a trainer involved. On an iPhone or iPad, for instance – I imagine it’s the same on compatible Android devices – you just ‘skip’ the pairing process, press ‘okay’ when prompted with a checking dialogue box, and then check your progress in the Mission tile, just like when you’re preparing to ride. You can then just hard close the app on that device.
I can confirm it is the same with an Android device. But I am not sure if
could be a source of issues - I personally always end the ride and log out.
Not the solution you’re looking for, but you can just hit ‘skip’ when you get to the pairing screen after logging in. Same home screen where you’ll see your climb progress. You can even ‘ride’ from there to access your garage & drop shop. No need to have a trainer paired.
I’m in the same boat as my Tricia - completed the mission but no emails (I only turned the preferences on today, so would have missed the first two - surprised I didn’t get the third though?)
I completed the whole mission but I haven’t received any email saying that I did a stage of the mission and that I am now part of the raffle.
Did I miss something?
I would get in touch with support. They’ll be able to see what emails you have and haven’t been sent and give you credit/email if you haven’t already been sent it.
Likewise, got email for completing second milestone but nothing for first. Did you get all the kit unlocks just out of interest?
Haven’t received any emails here. Up to 79%. Get all emails from zwift usually (as far as I know). Double checked and all email notifications are turned on (and have never turned off any anywhere). Searched mailbox, searched junk.
Definitely something not right. Hubby got his email.
Just catching up on this post now.
I completed the challenge within the first week of it going live. I’ve received the in-game kit which is great.
However like others at the end of this thread I’ve not had any emails to enter the prize draws, I get other emails from Zwift incl todays ‘Your Week Ahead’.
I’ve just emailed support@zwift.com for help and got an auto reply to use the online support. Which I’ve tried with a chat bot that is not answering the question.
Can you advise? Thanks
You need to let the chatbot suggest support articles, then say that none of those help, then it will give you an option to contact Support directly.
I finished the Wahoo Climb Mission, received the 50% and 100% completion emails. I did not receive the 75% completion email. I already had the socks and cap from the previous Wahoo Climb Mission, so those two items were not listed as “new” in my garage. The jersey kit was listed as “new”.
I used the link posted above to enter the 75% completion giveaway.
I completed the mission, got the completion email, but the link to Wahoo’s site is broken - it just lands me on a ‘page not found’ page.
I contacted Zwift support.
(I’ve not posted the link here - it’s a static page, so likely anyone could use it)
Good heads-up.
I just checked the email that I’d received after completion.
The link for ‘Wahoo KICKR Bike Ultimate Bundle’ within the text also gives me the page not found (ice cream time) page:
The ‘ENTER GIVEAWAY’ link within the orange lozenge further down the screen does, however, direct me to the correct page:
That worked! Thanks for taking a look and posting.
I got emails emails at 50%, 75% and 100%, completing challenge yesterday.
