So I’ve been using Zwift for a few months on my 2009 Macbook Pro and while it worked I understand that it really only meets the minimum requirements, especially on the graphics card side of things. I decided to go all in since we are now paying to use Zwift and I bought a dedicated PC with the specs below. I don’t think I’ve noticed any improvement in the graphics quality though, and the scenery especially is still al little jittery. Is that to be expected with the spec of my new PC still (I thought it met the recommended specs but maybe not?) or is there maybe another issue? Is it even possible to get Zwift to run with the graphics being smooth or am I expecting too much?
I am also finding that the other riders are often missing which I understand can be an internet connection issue, but I have tested it several times and it’s running at 12-13 mps which I would have thought would be OK?
I didn’t see any spec’s posted, but I can see from our logs that you upgraded to a 3 year old GeForce 650TI, and that Zwift set your settings to “HIGH”. This should get you full plants, grass, trees, and sunrays as well as higher detailed 3d models in general. If you’d like to buy some framerate back, go into the settings page (you can get to it from the pause screen) and set your graphics resolution to low or medium. From what I can tell you’re on a low resolution screen anyway so all you’ll notice is the faster framerate and you’ll still have the bells and whistles turned on.
Thanks for that John, and sorry I forgot to add the specs. They are below now.
Do you know why I wouldn’t be able to see the other riders? Would you have thought my internet speed would have been sufficient?
Cheers, Mark
