Upgraded between stages on haute

Hi all, sorry if this has been covered. I have just finished the first stage of haute route and been upgraded from c to b. I see the advice on faq for haute route is to enter the same cat for each stage. However will I now be dq if I enter c?

I suspect yes. I dont see any active management of this series compared to any other series undertaken by private organisers.

Thanks Dean, I guess my options are upgrade to b and dont qualify for GC or race c and get dq’d. I. Fairness I probably should have raced b from the start but thought over the longer distance it might not be such a hard start :speak_no_evil::lying_face:

  1. you still can (re)do stage 1 in B and qualify for GC; 2) your reasoning of “but thought over the longer distance it might not be such a hard start” is definition of sandbagging (having higher power capability just not exceeding set limits) - always race category based on your actual power. Hope this helps!

Thanks zee, I was c rider when I entered the c category. In fairness it did say almost b on zwift power
