I am racing at C. I am typically finishing in the bottom 3rd, but ZwiftPower thinks I should race at B. I am able to race at 3.0 w/kg.
Why should I upgrade?

You should upgrade because the rules state that if your FTP in w/kg is above 2.5w/kg then you are a EDIT: “C” rider.
Uh, 2.5–3.19 W/kg is C, not B. Do note however that it is based on 95% of your best 20 minutes, not average power for the entire event.
Thanks for catching that one. @Anna_Ronkainen
Your best 3 races in the last 90 days has you just over the C cat limit.
Note that the average includes all events, not just races. Whilst it might seem like races are always where you put in your strongest 20min effort, that’s not necessarily the case. If you do some sort of interval group ride, go all out on an optional sprint/climb or simply get dropped and decide to put in a hard effort to get back on the draft, they will all count. It’s worth bearing in mind.
Races and group rides.
Yeah sorry I forgot group workouts aren’t counted.
Been coming last in C grade, so I raced D grade today.
Had a good race, came 9th out of 15 and had D grade company all race. What fun!
But then the dreaded ‘MPG’ appeared on my Z-Power 'You raced above your power zone FTP today- move up a grade".
I guess it doesn’t matter a lot to me coming last, I get a good workout and I’m 72 yrs old
No comprendo por que me aplican UPG si solo existen 2 categorias en el evento , A y C , yo soy B , y en A me parece mucho , eso se deberia discriminar me hubiera apuntado ne mi categoria pero no existia.
