The automatic updates always give me a z117 error. Possible because a special character (space) in the username or a synchronisation program. Disabling synchronisation does not help. Changing the username is not possible because of some expensive commercial software checks for the username.
Zwift is the only program I know which has problems with special characters (spaces) in the username, so I classify this as a (known) bug.
As a workaround I have to reinstall Zwift every now and than, but the download often gives the same error after first use.
Another workaround could be creating a new account only used for running Zwift
