Under 16s

New to Zwift I was really wanting my daughter to benefit but have now discovered U16s can’t register. I am not concerned about it being free, I just wanted her to use Zwift, is there a way around this at all while not breaking any rules. It seems strange U16s are not banned but it won’t let you register someone.

Welcome! You can still register them for an account but unfortunately you’d need to lie about their age. Other apps like MyWhoosh offer an “official” option for U16 riders.

Yup, and then you see their user name in the Zwift rider list…. XXXX(under15yrs) like I did the other day.

Hi @Simon_Mansfield,

Thank you for posting. I am Nelson from Zwift Support.

At this time, we are no longer accepting consent form requests for U16 child accounts. We understand this news may be disappointing, but we hope that your child can find alternative ways to continue pursuing the joys of riding a bike. Having correct data as age, weight, and height ensures the data processed in the game is accurate.

Do not hesitate to contact us at Zwift Support if you have any other questions or concerns, and we will be there for you.

Ride On.

Unfortunately, as indicated by the representative of Zwift staff above, child accounts are no longer supported. You will need to go to another platform if you want your child to be able to train/race virtually. I think that My Whoosh and Training Peaks Virtual both offer children’s accounts with parental consent. Most trainers (Wahoo etc) are compatible with those platforms though the Zwift bike is not.
