Sorry if this is basic info - I searched various places but didn’t see anything.
At the start of certain routes, I see these large green “force field”-like barriers (that you can ride through). I thought that these simply represented routes that you hadn’t yet done - and that you wouldn’t see them again for that same route. It seems like that’s wrong though. I still see them on routes that I know I’ve done before so I guess I don’t really understand what they mean and when they appear.
The green barrier you ride through is the entry way to a level-locked road. If it were red you would not be able to ride through it until you reached the level necessary to unlock it. In events you can always access those roads but in a free ride if your level is too low you are not allowed in. Kind of a pointless feature in my opinion but that’s how it works.

Maybe the phenomenon I experienced was that I first saw it in an event and then I rode that route again in a free ride and saw it again.
Yes it’s always there. It’s an annoyance but you just have to ignore it.
