Trek Lexa and KickR Core Zwift One

Hi

There is a Trek Lexa near me, second hand from an established store (so provenence should be good) - does anyone know of any issues with the KickR Core Zwift One?
It has Shimano Claris (2 x “8”) gears which I think are fine for the Core although I realise they are not as good as 105’s (but it just to be used on the trainer, not outdoors).

Is there anything else I need to check on the bike for compatibility?E.g. Do i need 1.85mm spacer if I’m using the cog?

Thanks.

Hey Graham, saw your post over on Facebook so just summarizing here…

Verify that the bike has a normal quick release or thru-axle, not the Trek thru-skew axle

If you’re using the Cog you do not need to add a spacer. If you were to put the 8 speed cassette on the trainer you would need the 1.85mm spacer.

Thanks Paul - I’ll double check with the shop before popping around. I like the idea of a bike over the zwift ride (cost but also flexibility) but I just want to make sure that I get something compatible (and I’ll check the shops return policy).
