Attempting a free ride of stage 1. I get transported into the route. It does a u turn on it’s own and the route ends so end up doing general free ride in watopia.
This is on Apple TV using Zwift ride
Error repeated on 3 attempts.
Any ideas ?

Shuji at Zwift HQ. I’m looking at your server log history for this Stage 1 event and see you logged in from an iPhone 16 and a MacBook Air. When you’re logged in from multiple devices, weird things happen. We recommend you uninstall the main app from whatever is not your main Zwift computer, so you can avoid simultaneous logins.
By all means use the Zwift Companion app on your iPhone. It is designed to complement the main Zwift app running on your laptop / Apple TV / tablet, and will not cause this issue.

Thanks for clarifying- your son’s account does not have logins from multiple devices at the same time. I can see his last ride today was a free ride on Watopia Jungle Circuit, which is one of the routes that counts toward Stage 2 of Tour of Watopia.
Let me ask: do you have mysterious U turns happening during your own rides with the Zwift Ride frame? Wondering if this might be a hardware issue with your controllers vs an event setup issue.
Hi yes did tour of watopia stage 2 myself this am and at the end of the ride it kept performing u- turns
There is no indication on screen it just shows u turn icon and turns me 180’

If it’s happening on your rides as well as during your son’s event - it’s more likely a hardware issue with the controllers.
Please try hard resetting your controllers by holding the Z button for 30 seconds.
- Assuming that there’s nothing pressing on the arrow keys while you ride, it’s possible that sweat ingress might be a factor. If so - a gym towel draped over the bars & controllers might help.
- If it’s not sweat ingress - please contact my Support colleagues to discuss a possible exchange of the handlebar assembly.

It has happened again on my son’s ride. Launched him into a route then immediately does a u turn. Very frustrating as can’t do any routes
Will try a reset and see if that helps otherwise will need to return
Get that support case opened ASAP because they’re probably landfill

Same thing just happened to me. About 1 mile out from finishing Stage 3 Sand & Sequoias and my bike did an automatic u-turn which wrapped up the event….& u-turn didn’t work in the companion app. restarted Zwift Companion and managed to u-turn and hope I’d be back on course but looks like I was the in free ride mode. Never happened to me beforep
