I use an Apple TV and it is set to Update Automatically. I have tried to update manually, but I do not see how to do that. Any suggestions? I will look this up for Apple TV as well. Is there any way to get the XP points credited for those events?
To do it manually:
- Go to the Home screen
- Select the App Store app
- Select Purchased on the top right
- Select All Apps on the left
- Select the Zwift App
- Thereâs a button on the left with the label Update if one is available. Otherwise it reads Open . You can also find the app version and a short change log on this screen.
I donât think they can credit XP points.
Thanks for the help on this.
@Vince_Tamborello_ZTR
We do not have a way to manually award missing XP. The good news is you caught this during Stage 1.
I just did a second ride. I did B the first time and tried to do A the second time. It ended up being sands and sequoias⌠I got double XP three while time but and saw every one on the sands part but was all by myself on sequoias part.
Vince. My app was up to date. There was no option to to update from apple store.
The problem was at zwifts end showing it wasnt updated their end. I had to uninstall the app and then reinstall whixh seemed to fix it. There are a few apple users hit with thisâŚ
Hi I selected Group B for the group ride yesterday at 16:01 but was put into holding pen for Group A starting at 16:00 - once the ride started, there were a few folks like me just standing around wondering what to do. I quit the ride and checked which one I was signed up for and it was the single lap Group B so I re-joined and still ended up in group A. I ended the ride after one lap but of course it looks like I didnât complete. What do you advise , so I can avoid this next time

Hi @John_Carey9850 and welcome to the forums!
What device are you using for Zwift, could it possibly need to be updated to the latest version? Did you sign up through the website or the companion app?
I started Stage 2 Group B which was supposed to be Figure 8 but it started Sand & Sequoias route.
WHatâs up with that?
Hi Dan,
How did you sign up for the event?
I would suggest using the companion app to sign up, that way you are certain you selected the correct ride.
Hi Mike - thanks for the prompt response. Am using an iPad. The Zwift version is 1.0.46903 which I presume is the latest. Signed up through the website.
That is the latest version, perhaps there was an error on the website. I generally use the companion app when signing up, do you have that option? Can you post a screen shot of your signup from the website?
Where can I find the general classification after each stage?
Same happened to me - signed up yesterday through the website.
What general classification? Each race is treated individually and the results are available, at least, in your activity on Zwift Companion. The rides, though, are just that and there are no âresultsâ being kept.
When selecting an event form the website, I would suggest using the companion app to verify that the correct group was chosen.
I did use the companion app and I did chose option B. There were a lot of other riders who complained about the same problem.
I did the ride B option that started 30 minutes later with no problem. However, when I went to save the ride after completion, Zwift auto-filled Sand & Sequioaâs name instead of Figure 8.
Then whatâs the added value of a Tour de Watopia?
If youâre right, they might as well have organized 5 different individual races. Doesnât make sense.
I suppose it all depends on your interpretation of âvalueâ. What you get for completing all 5 stages (in one form or another) is the ToW kit. Not a particularly valuable item, I suppose, but it still seems like a lot of people are interested. Also, as there are multiple event occurrences each day that have different combinations of riders, and some people do the same stage multiple times (I mean, why not? there are A LOT of bonus XP to be had!!) how could you even begin to have a GC for ToW? Perhaps someday Zwift will get to that point, but right now itâs still pretty nascent. I donât know if Zwiftpower is doing anything with regard to a sort of ToW GC, but perhaps someone else using the Forum can chime in on that.
Zwiftpower did a GC for the Tour de Zwift back in January, but I donât see one for the Tour of Watopia. I think that was just for the races too, not the group rides.
