No mention of late join in that post
Nope. Just one about ācompleting the routeā. Late join, depending on how late, prevents this. Iāve missed completing a route by being late by 15 seconds.
It typically doesnāt. Iāve joined routes 29 minutes after starting (and got dropped towards the front of the field) and got event credit and route badges.
You probably only got credit for the endurance workout and maybe the route badge if it was your first time on the route
Iāve tried to get a couple 2 for 1s with these challenges and TDZ but it appears the loop hole is closed but I think I was successful with the route seeker challenge.
If you want to ride the whole route, late join (youāll get whatever formal accomplishment symbol for completion) and then after the finish, just ride the first part that you missed by late joining. Youāll have ridden the whole route, just not in the exact order that Zwift has it laid out. This wonāt work if itās very important to you that you not only ride the whole length but also start exactly at the start and finish at the finish, of course. But to me, starting 25% of the way through the route and then ending my ride at that same 25% point later is still riding the whole route.
I completely agree. The routes for women are the same as the B group. No new programming involved. Iāve ridden TDZ for four years and the rides are well attended, mostly by women not interested in racing. We just enjoy the camaraderie of riding with other women in a smaller group than group B. If a woman wants to ride in Group B, they can do that. Itās about choice. This is silly.
Hello, Iāve just learned from the Zwiftcast that Zwift has a Director of Womenās Strategy, Kate Veronneau, which is great.
Was she involved in the discussions around dropping womenās only ride options from the Tour de Zwift?
Is this part of a wider plan or strategy we donāt have visibility of to increase womenās participation?
Are you sure you have the name correct, @Kate_Veronneau ?
This may or not correct currently, but previously I was told that the role of director of womenās strategy at Zwift does not cover community level events or racing but only elite /professional events and racing.
Edit: Looked back at what I was told previously it was actually that the role is responsible for TDFFaZ and largely getting Zwift in front of more women but not largely linked to activities within Zwift.
That seems, well, a bit ludicrous, especially since the āpeak Zwiftā numbers donāt seem to be showing any growth.
It would be nice if you could equip the TdZ āUltimate Challengeā items in these events once you unlock them.
When I unlocked the blue beanie I thought maybe it would be supported, but attempted to put it on in the next event and it still showed the normal beanie.
Hello, quick question regarding the Tour de Zwift Ultimate Challenge. I missed the A route from last week. I know that you can āmake upā a stage but can you make up a ride and qualify for the the Ultimate challenge?
Thanks in advanceā¦
Jez
For the Ultimate Challenge you just need to ride one lap of each of the 18 routes btwn the start and end dates of the TdZ. It doesnāt have to be in any particular type of ride.
I know this is not a big issue, and I know there are other issues with rounding that are more important, but the companion app rounds your progress to the nearest whole number but for some reason keeps the decimal.
At 33.3 it shows 33.0, and 66.6 it shows 67.0. In these cases they should either show no decimal or the correct decimal.
This is on iPhone companion app.
Wouldnāt 66.67 be more correct?
Yeah, 67%, or 66.7%, or 66.67% etc. But itās odd to show 67.0%.
FWIW, android has no decimals and rounds up.
Worthless that the womenās group is not there this year. For women it is now (almost) impossible to finish in the top 3. I have ridden all the last stages above 4 wkg, but nowhere a chance to win. I know it is not a race, but it would still be nice to be rewarded for your effort
