Curious if anyone has thoughts about the presence of the robo pacers lining up at the start? Did you attempt to ride with one and if so was it hard to find? How long did it take before the different pace bots sorted themselves out? Did people start slower knowing that the bots would probably catch them later anyway?

Looking forward to trying stage one tomorrow…

Thx Mike!

I rode the B route with Coco and it was good. It only took a few minutes for the pace partners to separate. Big groups shot off the front and had no effect on the pace partners. It was the smallest Coco group I have seen before. Perhaps due to the steep hills?

did you have yellow ride on thumbs?

I don’t remember but looking at snapshots in my feed, all the ride-ons were blue. There wasn’t much ride-on activity compared to a typical pace partner ride or a free ride around Tempus Fugit. I want a refund. :grinning:

“Ride-On bombs”. Seems like you only get the yellow ride-ons if you use the Companion app to give ride-on bombs. Still, I didn’t see any yellow ride-ons at all in the ride I just did. Shirley someone was using the Companion app to give ride-on bombs?

But I just happened to look at Pritchy’s livestream and noticed the yellow ride-ons (7min in):

Maybe it was just the classic “Zwift bugs in the first few events” that we always seem to get which meant no yellow ride-ons.

Did anyone get the route badge for the C course? I did the A one first and also got the route badge. Than did the C group ride a few minutes later but didnt get the batch.

The A ride was on Royal Pump Room 8 for which there is a route badge.

The C ride was on Harrogate Circuit Reverse for which there is no route badge within Zwift.

ups. my bad. i thought there were some new route badges for the “new” route. Looks like i’ve done to much…

There are. Info from Zwift/ZwiftInsider:

New This Year

Fresh Route Badges

Recently-launched route badges will be available on certain stages (you can also earn these badges by free riding the routes anytime you’d like.):

TdZ will be the first chance anyone gets to unlock one particular route badge, though. On stage 8, we’ll be able to ride the “Rolling Highlands” route on Zwift’s new Scotland map!

@manda_F there’s an error in the dates for stage 3 when viewing TdZ in the Zwift app. It says it ends on Jan 12. Compare to the others. Dates for the other stages are not really right either since they haven’t started yet.

EDIT: actually these dates are completely wrong for all events if the dates on the Zwift website are correct.

Didn’t work well for me I saw the 4 bots lined up at the start then didn’t really pay attention to them to figure out if they were behind/in front of me until a bit into the ride.

Next issue only 1 of the 4 bots had a beacon so was impossible to tell where the rest were.

Anyone know what pace the bots ride at?

Bernie, Miguel, Maria, Coco at their usual power (in the B event today)

which is? I rarely use bots and even less so know them by name?

nvm i’ll go look myself but there must be others out there that also have no idea what pace the bots are set to ride at. Maybe an idea to name them by power for these big events or add to ride description.

yeah just had a look at my reply i did pass at least one of them. Beacons would certainly help for all bots if that’s possible.

I had beacons for 4 bots in the elevation graph on my ride (c event).

Noticed the beacons were missing on a few of the pp’s I saw on TF in past few days (not all though) but until your comment, thought it was just a me thing (edit: free-riding so not activity related)
