I established earlier today that event distances are slightly longer than random runs because of the holding pen, so that’s understood. What I don’t understand is that why isn’t there a countdown timer that begins until you actually cross the starting line when the real time you spent on the event should begin. This isn’t so much a question but more of a statement since Zwift likes to try to keep as IRL as possible, it would make sense.
Zwift results show event time (i.e,. total ride time). This starts when the flag drops and you start moving. Once out of the pens, you’ll cross a line on the road which signifies the start/lap marker. This lead-in could be a 100m or a few km. This is when the on screen clock starts counting.
