Timer start delayed

Noticed in a race today that the timer didn’t start for maybe as many as six seconds since leaving the pen. Was on Duchy Estate course.

Okay, maybe even more than 6 seconds. Here is a team-mate’s video where it doesn’t start for almost 30 seconds: Zwift 2019 12 08 13 00 11 - YouTube

And again can see discrepancy between results screen and elapsed time:

There is always a difference between those 2 times. The time on the results screen is the event time, which starts when the countdown gets to zero in the pen and the race commences. That is the same time you will see on ZwiftPower.
The timer on the HUD starts later, typically when you cross a white line(s) on the road as you exit the pens.
If you go to 2:16 on the video you linked you will see the lines on the road that I think should start the HUD timer but on this occasion the HUD timer started about 8 seconds later.

Here is another example from London:- WORLDOFFUSION Racing Series = DQ - YouTube
Event starts at 1:02 on video but HUD timer starts at 1:16.

Over 20 seconds seems a bit crazy, and makes it hard to chase a time when you’re doing a TT in a time-based general classification  It really should start as soon as the banner drops, very confusing!
