Apologies in advance if this is a really stupid question…but in game can the time gaps be inaccurate?
I thought I’d noticed it before a few times especially on the portals. Normally i dont see any issue but today it caused a doubt as to my power output and turbo accuracy because i caught back on to the group faster than the time gap i had said i was at. And then caused me to start doubting my power outputs myself…even tho I pride myself on keeping things right and Im always fair and honest with my riding, training and weight…Id never want to be any other way.
Thanks for any light that can be shed on this…and sorry again if its a really dumb question.
Additionally, the “Riders Nearby” list has been buggy and partially dysfunctional for a long time now (at least a year or more). Often it shows the wrong time gaps. The mini map above it seems to give more accurate distances between the riders around, but of course it doesn’t give you a time gap. The distance shown at the bottom of the screen to riders behind you seems to be more accurate but that is given in meters/feet,and again, not in seconds. Zwift have been made aware of this but there doesn’t seem to be fixed on the way. It’s pretty frustrating because sometimes it’s correct and sometimes it’s completely wrong. It will say that someone who is actually 30 seconds behind you is 3 seconds behind you, or vice versa and there doesn’t seem to have any rhyme or reason to why it does this.
Thanks for the reply, ok, so i wasnt imagining it. Like I say, normally not bothered with it, as only noticed a few times before but when it called my trainer into question today, it caused me concern. Like i say, i keep thinks as accurate as i can and pride myself on that. Id hate to be thought of as otherwise.
