Tickr HRM failing quickly

New Tickr HRM made by Wahoo failed very quickly (3 months). One of the snaps joining the sensor strap to the transmitting module rusted out and fell off (despite rinsing after each use). Looking at the design, with heavy sweating from indoor training this result seems likely and I’ll look to buy a different HRM (likely Garmin) as a replacement.

Did you call Wahoo?

Indoor riding will kill chest HRM due to the sweat. I rode for years outdoors and never had an issue until I starting Zwifting. Now, I’ve taken to rinsing off my strap connections after every indoor ride. Unless you go to a different type of HRM (wrist, arm, etc) I am not sure that a different brand chest HRM will cure the sweat and snap issue.

I have had very good luck with a Garmin Tri HRM: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012H8IPQS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1&fpw=alm

No snap to worry about.

Yes, but no response. I’m not sure they are currently manning the phones or responding to messages.
