Theres a thread about this. Even Wahoo says theres no “room” in the Wahoo devices to allow to communicate with the Zwift protocol. They could choose to clear Some “room” by removing stuff that nobody uses. They havent done that yet though.
A question about the upcoming Splits feature within the HUD refresh update:
Will this also be available within workout mode?, and will it auto trigger a split during each interval?
… or is this just intended to be a feature within free ride and group sessions?
I find it a bit crazy how currently there is Avg power available as an option in the HUD, but this is not available during workout mode

@manda_F
Edit: As suspected, still no response…
Do you export your rides to any other platforms (Garmin Connect, TrainingPeaks, etc.)? When I look at my Zwift workouts in those apps there already is a lap automatically triggered with each new interval.
Yes, I use Intervals.icu and TrainingPeaks. I’m familiar/experienced with looking at my sessions on those tools.
My question was mainly just out of curiosity. I tend to do most of my training sessions on TrainingPeaks Virtual at the moment, where you can see Avg power, cadence and HR during each interval (along with many other metrics with the customisable HUD), so I was just wondering if Zwift plan to use this Splits feature to give some of the same functionality ![]()
Also, will the metrics mentioned like Power balance (L/R), Average w/kg, Weighted Power (WP), and Body Temp and Heat Strain Index (HSI) be available/visible in the workout mode HUD?
Hi @manda_F , any update on when the Core Body sensor support will be added to the HUD?
The official start of summer is only a few days away so hopefully the HUD refresh is coming with 1.90.
This -----------------^^^
average power in a workout has been available for a few years, but must be programmed to show it during each section. The Lama Shane Miller has a video to show how you can customize any workout or create average watts per block.
Speaking of things that were promised :
When will we be able to see our ZRS score history ?
When will Zwift be looking further back than 90 days for the seed score. That should have gone live in February but still isnt happening.
It’s here ![]()
But disappointing
Is something wrong with the feature, or you just want more from it?
Are you talking to me or Michael? It doesn’t show you replying to me, but anyways, I was referring to Michael about saying the new 1.90 HUD is here
I was replying to you about the “disappointing” comment. To me the splits feature seems like a decent first release and I hope for more, so I’m not unhappy with it, but there’s more to deliver to meet what was announced.
Half-full or half-empty.
To me, a bad feature release is either one that I wanted to use but I find it’s unusable, or didn’t want but can’t escape. The splits feature doesn’t suffer from either problem IMO, so I’m feeling OK about it.
I don’t use splits, I would rather have the features of Sauce like W/Bal, avg w/kg and draft
For me it would also include spending development time on a feature that adds value for some users, when there are bigger issues that need addressing for all users (e.g. pack dynamics).
No, it’s great.
It’s been a long long time coming. ![]()
Pack dynamics is another example of a feature that adds value for some users, but to me it’s in the category of “don’t like it and can’t escape it”. I was happy that they put development time into pack dynamics, just not happy with the results and lack of correction after it dropped. The lap feature is a highly requested one, so I think it’s a good development target, and it seems to work. The rest of the HUD refresh also contains in-demand features, and I look forward to most of them as well.
