Tacx Vortex and cadence

HI, since this weekend I’ve noticed that whilst pedalling constantly at around 80 rpm the screen will show a range from 80 - 150 rpm.

I’ve got the latest updated in the trainer and obviously the latest Zwift update.

Any help would be great

Same here. Also Vortex. Also very weird cadence values. I have no idea why.

Vortex here as well. the Cadence is a random number generator. Get out your GSC10 and sync that instead. Power numbers are decent enough, but still not “real”. Saved a ton of money versus a Kickr, but got what I paid for…

Did anyone of you get an answer to the issue? I am still in contact with tacx/garmin support but they don‘t seem to have a fix for this. Every Mail is like: please check the firmware and do another calibration…can‘t hear it anymore…

Did you ever hear back about I’ve issue. ive had my vortex for about 18 months and never had an issue. Used it regularly and suddenly the cadence is all over the place. Yesterday it was showing in excess of 160rpm, today less than 40, all while pedalling at around 95. It’s re define training mode useless

Hi! Sorry in advance for the bad English…
I’m riding a Tacx Flux 2 and the cadence indicator in Zwift is as worse as you guys mentioned before.
I’ve bought a cheap cadence-sensor at Amazon which can be used as a speed-sensor too (just flip the battery inside). This works pretty fine (uses Bluetooth and ANT+ protocol) and the cadence information in Zwift is now perfect and feels correct. 20 Euros which are a good investment

Thanks for the post Marcus. I tried it with my existing cadence sensor with the same bad results, so it must be a Zwift specific problem… Also tried it today and when I increased pedal rate, it just decreased my resistance…
