Typical new guy problem. I looked over the forum and think I have found the answer, which is to calibrate my Tacx trainer with the Tacx app but I want to make sure. Here is my problem:
I have used a dumb trainer a couple times with a speed and cadence sensor. I bought a Tacx Satori second hand (barely used). When I started using it and increasing the resistance my speed and watts would shoot through the roof. I would routinely max out at 2000 watts and be going 50mph. If I didnt try to push it my speed and watts seemed accurate. It was only when I attempted to really push it did the watts and speed shoot you. One half hour workout showed I burned 4000 calories which I know isn’t true.
