Super tuck issue on Zwift ride

I have experienced both through personal experience and through club mates that I ride with the inability to “super tuck” in recent weeks/months.

I am currently on a Zwift ride with the kickr core, there are no available updates through the wahoo app. I have done the spin down which I thought helped but it didn’t.
I have also tried another kickr core which I possess and the exact same issue occurs there.

Forums won’t let me link to video, so I’ll try to let a couple screen shots do the talking.

I have tried searching through the forums but it does not seem like anyone is reporting this? It’s really annoying and makes a huge disadvantage during races.

so it looks like your power is not going to 0, is that the issue?

also looks like your cadence is not going to 0, did you stop spinning the pedals?

Yes, I stop spinning. Sometimes I can super tuck for a split second and then he goes back to pedaling on screen. Rpm goes from the 120’s to the 70’s and the power is always minuscule. After about 15 seconds it sometimes will zero out and he will tuck again.

Sounds similar to this topic. I am also using virtual shifting with a Core and haven’t run into that problem.

Power has to be less than 11 watts

Any idea if it matters when you do a spin down? I did one yesterday and the. Another today, but after a 2-hour Z1 workout. The results are different, not sure if this would cause it.

It sounds like the “free watts” bug related to virtual shifting, but the cadence not going to zero is another thing. I’ve always said that a cadence sensor is probably best if you having issues, but you still need to drop those 20W your trainer is reading high.

Have you tried the “Factory Spin Down” or just the normal one?

I have only seen an option for “perform spin down” nothing about a factory one.

Or from Wahoo:
