When you clean your commuter bike after a week of dreadful winter weather and you think to yourself: “Why can’t I commute in Zwift?“
Virtual riders of virtual events in a virtual world complaining they don’t get a virtual jersey to show other virtual riders they did the virtual event.
From what I understand overweight people get the muscle bound avatar, whereas at 68kg and in real life good upper body lean muscle, I get a non-discript meh of a body shape
Let me correct that for you, “…people who never miss a meal..”
Personally I’m still missing Ant+ support on my Commodore C64´s , but then again Bluetooth connection and gear HUD for my brand new $x.xxx,- Stages SB20 isn’t also really something Zwift cares about…
Seriously… If time vs the amount of projects wasn’t an issue I would love to make a Zwift “dashboard” running on a C64 showing watts, rpm & HR ( preferably on an old CRT monitor ) (( yes I’m way out ))
BooX
When I’m riding in Camera View 3 (POV) and I get to ride straight through someone’s avatar (or someone rides through mine). I don’t mind avatars passing through one another, but what freaks me out is the quick glimpse you get of the inside of someone’s face as if looking through the back of their skull. Am I the only one who finds that a bit creepy and quite unpleasant? Ugh!
A couple of riders riding in the sky near the top of the Volcano Climb. Every time I go up there!
The male spectator wearing a suit jacket and shorts on the Yorkshire course. They don’t do that sort of thing in Yorkshire.
“Harrogate is a small South Australian town, located in the Adelaide Hills on the banks of the Bremer River.” - Have you been thinking it’s the one in Yorkshire all this time. Shorts and sandals fine here.
I find it kind of amusing when this happens and their mouths end up briefly superimposed on their bottoms
The fact that half way up the Yorkshire KOM you don’t find Dutch corner - with a load of people cheering you on while dancing to “Links Rechts” - as happened at the 2019 Worlds in real life.
I’m pleased to say I’ve never noticed that!
The fact that you don’t get average speed and power data for KOM’s. The amount of time I’ve spend estimating this on the companion app is ridiculous. I’m probably way out too!
@Dan, use ‘lap’ on a head unit like a Garmin, Wahoo, etc
It may have been mentioned earlier -
The “fake turn” move at intersections.
Avatar moves like it is going to take the turn, but goes straight.
Thanks Ian. I never thought of that. I will check that out and set up my Elemnt. Thanks!
With the ELEMNT, just make sure that you aren’t using the ELEMNT to control the trainer.
Once you pair it, make sure the ELEMNT is in Passive, control from another app.
My avatar looks better than I do IRL.
Speed wont be right as trainers dont know speed/elevation (or am I missing something like another coffee?) Only stats like watts and w/kg will be correct???
