Sensor

Since I have gotten my Zwift bike my garmin sq watch will not record my speed/km. It registers in my Zwift but not my garmin. When I bike outside it works. I bought a speed sensor but I am struggling to find the area where to put it. I have a Coospo speed sensor. I’ve looked up where to put it but I’m still struggling. Is this my only option? After I’ve done a ride my garmin logs the the time but zero km

The only reliable way to get speed information from Zwift is from the fit file generated by Zwift, not by pairing it to a Garmin device. That said, if you are using a Wahoo trainer with the Zwift Ride, connecting it to your Garmin device should work, it just won’t give you realistic speed numbers since it doesn’t know anything about the terrain, surface type, bike choice, drafting, etc. in Zwift. Speed in Zwift will usually disagree with the estimated speed generated by the trainer. You would need to add the indoor trainer as a sensor on your Garmin device, assuming it supports that. Not all Garmin devices do so it depends on the model.

I can’t think of a reasonable way to make use of a separate speed sensor when you are using the Zwift Ride since it doesn’t have a wheel.
